Well, here we are in June already and yet another couple of months have flown by without as much as blink. The kids sure know how to keep us on our toes so that we can't stay ahead...let alone keep up.
Here are some pictures of SOME of the things going on:
Jacoy has started a season of pitching machine baseball and Acacia has started Tee ball. Both girls have two practices a week right now so we have been running around trying to keep up with them. Jacoy is finally starting to get over the butterflies in her tummy and starting to feel a little more comfortable holding a bat. After a bunch of practice with Jeremy, her hitting coach :) We are going to have to practice that at home some more. I keep telling Tonya that it is not fair that she picked a sport that I know NOTHING about. C'mon, I'm a Canadian, no one ever calls it Canada's past time. I have not made it early enough to see Acacia practice much. Her practices have been starting at 4:00 and I have still have one of those pesky jobs messing up my life. Her coach is going to be moving her practice times to 5:30 soon so I should be able to get some good pictures of her too.
The girls were also able to go to a Play Day with mom and dad today. We took them just a little north to an area where they got to ride in 12 different events. Both Jacoy and Acacia are not really that big yet, and neither one has the confidence to just go for it, so we entered them in the "lead line" class...the good thing about it is that there were only two people in that class...Jacoy and Acacia.. so they got 1st or 2nd every time...the bad part is that mom and dad (mostly dad), had to lead them through every course..."run daddy" ... "faster daddy" ... "slow down daddy" ... "closer daddy" ... "I want to beat Jacoy this time daddy"...I don't know what it is about girls and horses but, MAN, did they love it. I was a little reluctant and grumpy at first. I mean, c'mon, it's Saturday morning...I have to get up at 6:30? I have to run some horses around all day and eat hot dogs for lunch? Okay the hot dogs were a good part of the day. But I was not able to get much for chores done around here. And I think I could almost hear the blackberry bushes laughing at me when I drove by them today and said "next time blackberrys....next time!"
We also had Jacoy's 7th birthday in March... Wow she is growing up fast. We decided to have the party at the bowling alley where we could all get beer. :) J/K The kids ALL had great time and loved getting bowl. We are going to have to start doing it a little more often. Tonya made these really cool cupcake bowing pins and bowling balls to go with the theme, it was fun. I'm not sure I'm ready for these kids to all grow up though. Watching Jacoy and her friends starting to act like people instead of brats is fun...but sad... part of you misses that little brat that need so much attention. That is why we keep having so many kids... :)

That Play Day was at Roddy Ranch, right? We usually go to a lot of their horse shows but probably not this year. My brother's thoughtlessly scheduled their weddings on the same day for July and August =)
